The IN:LA Card from American Express® is designed for those with good credit who live in or frequently visit Los Angeles and plan to take advantage of the various benefits and participating services that are in Los Angeles.

In reference to the reward program, one INSIDE Rewards point is earned for every dollar spent on general purchases. Double points are awarded for every dollar spent on "City Essentials", which include newspaper and magazine subscriptions, movies, dining, cell phone services, cable and dial-up ISP subscriptions, and gym memberships. Points can be redeemed for benefits and experiences based in LA, Chicago, and New York City, such as free hotel stays, dining, and airline travel. An added benefit is that points earned never expire and have no yearly limit.

Aside from the reward program, this card offers a variety of standard benefits that include travel accident insurance, auto rental insurance, discounts, and various fraud protection services with each usage (see website for all benefits available).

The interest rate for purchases is considered reasonably low (for a reward card) and there is no annual fee. There is also a 0% introductory rate for purchases and balance transfers for the first six months.
