The Citi® Dividend
Card, issued by Citibank, is designed for those with very good
credit who plan to take advantage of the cash reward program.
Through the reward program, cardholders earn a 2% cash back rebate on purchases
made at supermarkets, gas stations, drugstores, convenience stores, and
utilities including cable, and they earn a 1% cash back rebate on all other
purchases as well as on cash advances and convenience check transactions.
Cardholders will receive $5 Dividend Dollars for each balance transfer
transaction of $1,500 or more. Cardholders can also earn an average of 5% cash
back on purchases made through the Citi Dividend Merchant Network. The rebates
earned on purchases through the Citi Dividend Merchant Network are unlimited,
but the rebates earned on all other purchases are subject to a $300 maximum per
year. A $50 check will be issued upon request once $50 Dividend Dollars have
been earned.
The card has an average interest rate for purchases, and it does offer an
attractive twelve-month introductory rate that can be applied towards balance
transfers with no annual fee.
The card also provides platinum cardholder benefits that include up to
$1,000,000 in travel accident insurance, auto rental insurance, car rental
discounts, and various travel and emergency assistance services.
Therefore, those who plan to take advantage of the cash back reward program and
the introductory rate on balance transfers will benefit most from what the Citi®
Dividend Card has to offer.
